Rebate amount for site-built or manufactured homes: $900

Rebate amount for new construction site-built only (Must install a heat pump water heater and not get a rebate from it.): $500

Rebate amount to replace a non-functioning or existing ductless heat pump (Must have a minimum HSPF of 11): $100

Ductless heat pump must have a minimum HSPF rating of 9 for existing homes, 10 for new homes and be found on the Bonneville Power Administration’s Qualified Product List.

Eligible homes include only those with permanently installed electric resistance heating as the main heating for the home, except in the case of new construction. To replace a non-functioning or existing ductless heat pump with a new ductless system it must have a minimum HSPF rating of 11 to qualify for the rebate.

New construction site-built homes do not need backup electric resistance heating to qualify. If a new home has already claimed the heat pump water heater rebate it will not be eligible for a ductless heat pump rebate, however in order to claim a ductless heat pump rebate a heat pump water heater must also be installed. All systems must:

  1. Be installed on a dedicated electrical circuit,
  2. Have refrigerant line protection on the entire length of exterior and insulated refrigerant lines,
  3. Be installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, including adherence to proper refrigerant charging and,
  4. Replace and become the primary heating source for the home. Homes installing a ductless heat pump for an addition or part of the home do not qualify.
